Hailing from the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, Ally Garrett is an accomplished feature film editor. A formal education in film production and editing led her to Los Angeles to attend California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in the School of Film and Video. Her professional journey began as an assistant editor on projects helmed by some of the most illustrious directors in the industry, including Quentin Tarantino and Angelina Jolie among others. Her experiences during this time were a masterclass in the art of filmmaking and played a pivotal role in shaping her career as an editor. The versitility of Ally’s work spans a range of genres, including animation, comedy, drama, thriller, and documentary and she enjoys the different challenges that they bring.
